Four Exciting Public Competitions
As part of its participation in the Entente Florale Europe 2008 greening competition, the state capital Düsseldorf has launched no less than four public contests. The spectrum ranges from a photo contest to a front garden competition, from an allotment holder contest to geocaching. This results in a range of choices that offers something for everyone, both young and old.

Photo Contest "My favourite green space"
Photo enthusiasts can enter the "My favourite green space in Düsseldorf" photo contest. Many people have a favourite green space in Düsseldorf. The objective of the photo contest is to record images of these favourite places. continue

Front Garden Competition
A green, flowering front garden is more than a joy for the owners, it is a pleasure for all who pass by. For those who own a beautiful front garden they use and care for, the state capital of Düsseldorf and the ten district councils are offering a façade and front garden competition. continue

Allotment Holder Contest
The allotment holder contest is looking for the most beautiful allotments in Düsseldorf. An invitation to participate in this competition has been issued to all garden clubs by the local association of allotment holders. continue

Geocaching
Geocaching is a special contest mainly aimed at schools. It can be described as a computer-assisted scavenger hunt. Pupils have to find "hidden treasures" by using GPS coordinates and replace an item with something else. continue
